it’s been quite a while, but finally i can bring you a fresh new batch of cute little MBunnies. 6 fresh ideas and new approaches to designing the little hare. it still amazes me, how many ways there are to make each custom unique!
this time around we again have very diverse range of ideas for him, a scanned-in wooden version of him, a superhero, a crossbreed with a antilope, a pencil-eating MBun, a comic-bun and a cut-out version (which will take forever to complete, but will be soooo worth it!!).
this series was created by EKIEM, Sam Kwedo, Shiny and Colourful, Robert Zylstra, SevenLab and St.Hellvis.
a massive thanks to the artists for an amazing new series – i think it was well worth the long wait!
now, here they are! now: (right-)click on the pic -> download -> print -> cut, fold and glue! o___X

and because it is easter-time, i also added a new version of the MBun myself, called the MBBY! this one will be kind of limited, as i will post new versions/colorways/patterns of him every now and then, but then the old one will no longer be available..

we are halfway through with the campaign and still some time to back the great cause! there was a whole lot of work put into it and we’ve all come so far, now it’s up to you to help us make sure we get to the finish. so get on over there and help us make the exhibition and decks and toys and skatepark and party happen!!

and i try to make the decision even a little sweeter:
the first five backers who support the project because of this post (and starting from today) will receive some extra goodies from me! i will send them some #cactusclan stickers, a sketch and for the first three that get one of my deck designs, i even throw in a Chester or Gunther template!

garrison beau scott aka baykiddead has asked me and some of the world’s elite papertoy-, streetart- and artists all around to join him on a great cause and amazing kickstarter project! we were asked to design our own skateboard designs and an accompanying papertoy created by him called the BAYKID SPYRO.

the decks are available now as part of the kickstarter campaign, make sure to check out the link and be amazed at what the likes of 3eyedbear, ABZ, sal azad, marko zubak, dolly oblong, merrci have come up with for their decks..and that is just naming a few of my personal favorites.. ^^ and they all did a baykids design as well! this will be amazing to see!

THE EXHIBITION

Hosted by Thee Eye Gallery, SHOVE IT! will open the night of June 7, 2013 at the Polk County Heritage Gallery in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. Each deck and paper toy combination will be presented along with some of the original paintings used to create the skate deck art. There will also be a display featuring skate photography, the Baykiddead paper toy collection highlighting the contributing artists past work as well as a history of the paper toy.

make sure to check back on the campaign site, because that is not all by far!! there are still some more new deck designs coming (including one by me) and make sure to back up this awesome project!

my home is haunted..!! just a couple of days ago i started to notice strange shadows moving around. at first just from time to time, but then Señor Zapallo started to call out to it and he manifested – the Ghostus! Sadly he has no mouth, so he can’t tell us his name.. if you want to, download him now and try it. maybe one of you will find out his real name.. if that is the case, please tell me, so we can free his haunted soul and send him to cactus-heaven!

and to make the party complete, get Señor Zapallo as well..they seem to get along quite nicely!

Meet Chester and Gunther!
They are the newest members of the Cactus Clan and are now available in the funk food store!

Here’s Chester!
This happy member of the Clan has just returned from a holiday in the lovely city of Arnsberg, where he met with fellow cacti and other folded creatures. Now he is well rested and ready for new adventures..

And this is Gunther!
Another happy member of the Cactus Clan. He really is a nice and sweet guy, but don’t get on his wrong foot or steal one of his bananas! ‘Don’t get between an APEtus and his food’.. but feed him some and he will be your best friend forever!
